In this course, you will build an Event Streaming Pipeline by writing applications that produce and consume records into and from an Apache Kafka cluster. The hands-on lab exercises in the course follow the coherent story of building and upgrading a driver location app. It is important to note that while the application evolves over the duration of the course, each exercise is self contained and does not require that previous activities have already been successfully completed.

 

The student handbooks, exercise guides, and the lab image included with this course are at the Apache Kafka® 2.6 and Confluent Platform 6.0 releases. The lecture and lab videos were recorded just prior to these releases. Due to this, they are at the Apache Kafka® 2.5 and Confluent Platform 5.5 releases. With respect to the course content, there was very little changed from the previous to current product releases so there should be little to no impact on the learning experience.
